Elisa M. Harris, Ph.D.
Elisa M. Harris, Ph.D. is passionate about working with career women and career mothers. She views the therapeutic relationship as a team effort. This style allows her to address the root causes of daily stressors both within sessions and also connecting clients to outside supportive services as necessary. She integrates varying therapeutic modalities (e.g. ACT, CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused, psychoanalytic, and person-centered) with psychoeducation to enhance the individual’s ability to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, parenting, as well as life and career transitions. Her experiences in counseling, testing, and teaching have influenced her diversified approach to therapy.
Dr. Elisa Harris, a NYS licensed psychologist, earned her Ph.D. in Psychology with a Specialization in Counseling from Walden University, also working as a Graduate Assistant for the doctor psychology program. She received her M.S. in Community Health Education and B.S. in Health Science from SUNY Cortland. She completed her pre-doctoral fieldwork at ADHD and Autism Psychological Services and Advocacy in Syracuse and Utica, NY, as well as at the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities in Binghamton, NY.
